Ingredients

Sponge Cake

  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Devils food cake box.(2 if you want a tall cake.)
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1/3 Cup Oil
  • 3 Eggs

Peanut Butter Buttercream

  • 1 1/2 Cups Unsalted Butter
  • 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 3 Cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla

Instructions

Sponge Cake

  1. Preheat Oven to 350F and prepare 2-8" pans or 3-6" pans with Non stick spray and parchment paper.
  2. Follow all the instructions from your chocolate cake box.

Peanut Butter Buttercream

  1. In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment beat your butter and peanut butter on high speed for 3-5 minutes.
  2. On low speed add your sugar one cup at time. Add your vanilla to the milk and add the milk inbetween sugar additions. Once blended bring speed to Med-High and mix for 3-5 mins until soft and fluffy.

TIPS

  • All wet ingredients should be room temp.
  • I advice you chill your cake before stacking it.
  • If youre baking a tall cake use 2 boxes of cake and 4-6' cake pans. or 3-8" cake pans.
